Is Your Colon Toxic ?

by Laura Koch

Is your colon toxic ? If your system is clean and strong, it can metabolize and eliminate many pollutants. Is your elimination time twelve hours, twentyfour hours, thirty-six hours or more? For good bowel health, a transit time of approximately twelve hours is optimum. When the transit time takes longer, waste putrifies or rots producing toxins that are released into the blood and circulated throughout the entire body causing many health issues.

Ideally, a healthy colon would be eliminating after every meal (in proportion to the size of meal eaten 12 hours previously). Often the bowel is constipated or toxic even if elimination occurs once per day as accumulated waste rots, ferments and putrifies. Virtually everyone experiences a constipation, even if only fleeting episodes. Many suffer on a frequent or even continual basis. Diverticulosis, Crohn's disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and ileitis are all side effects of waste congestion.

Today, highly chemicalized, processed food, synthetic foods and fast foods are the main foods that are eaten. These foods lacking in nutrition and fibre prevent regular elimination and create poor health. The more you eat, drink and breathe chemicals the more your system will weaken or breakdown. As toxic chemicals enter the body and interact with the chemical already there, the second-generation chemicals produced are more harmful than the original. This is a continual cycle. Colon cancer and other illnesses is a direct result of accumulated toxic waste. A clogged bowel is possibly the greatest present-day internal danger to health. The solution - lifestyle changes that include proper bowel care and cleansing.
